Why are white people sweet as sugar in person but I feel like I'm in a whole different world on the internet?!?
Ok! So everytime I get on the internet, white people irate me and make me them with a passion because of all of their despicable anti-black slurring, insulting, bellyaching, criticizing, nagging, etc., etc., etc. They bring me to this level of being Al Sharpton and vigorously defending my race. It’s like before 2009 when I didn’t realize how bad their racism was on the internet, I downplayed racism and didn’t like anyone accusing whites of racism or showing black pride or any of that. I thought it was nonsense but all of the racism on the net changed me. HOWEVER, when I see a white person in real life like at college or any random place, they are soooooooooooooooooooo sweet. I just want to hug them and take back off of my racial defensiveness on line. I am taking an African American class, and the whites in there are so sympathetic on all the issues it just makes me want to hug them all and cry. I don’t know! Why are they so different between real life and the net? Is it because I’m not the stereotypical African American they expect to come across with baggy pants, gangster slang, a gun in my hand, couple of bullets, and some welfare checks in my pocket. No white people, that’s all a a stereotype. I’m an eloquent, very handsome, Associate’s Degree having, 5′9, 140, 23 year old black man.

Because behind the internet you have the security of the screen.

It’s the internet. You don’t even know if the white person is even white. Don’t take it personally..

They think you have a gun when you’re within 10 feet from them.

show? no mercy, maul em, haul em | Feb 05, 2010

WoW! I’m white and I understand what you mean.

First off, when you are in some ones face, most of the time they will act how they think you want them to act. Because who wants to be called out and attacked for your views no matter how petty and stupid in front of everyone.

I had a luncheon a while back with some ladies from work and there was a table across the room with 6 black women carrying on and having a great time laughing and getting loud. Like all women do when they are having a great time with great friends. Anyway one of the ladies from work scanned the room to make sure no one was in ear shot and then made a comment about acting like monkeys. Myself and two other co-workers looked at her like she was stupid and she immediately played it off like it was just a joke. I’m not saying I am miss anti-racist. Because even I catch myself now and then talking about white people who act like they think all black people should act. You know "wiggers".

But I would not get online just because it offers more safety and go all Nazi skin head on anyone either. The truth is racism is real and it is not just whites or blacks. It is there. It is sad too. But when you can hide behind a keyboard, it will come out.\

What I recommend, always know that most people do have 2 faces and protect your self. But still have a kind warm heart when called for, keep your head up, and be proud and rise above it all. Always know that these people who are passing judgment will one day be judged.

THAT IS WHAT IM TRYING TO SAY. THEY ARE BEING FAKE MY FRIEND.

Those people you are wanting to hug, are probably the same people who are racists on internet.
Since, they are behind the screen, they show their TRUE colors.. and you guys think im joking when i say 90% of them are racists.

Yes, you go to MEPS first since that’s "processing." Second, if you’re going into the Marines it’s boot camp, not basic. Lastly, if you have reoccuring back pain then you shouldn’t go at all. Get a real story if you’re gonna troll.

And guy with your ship date, OSUT post, and MOS as your name - learn what OPSEC means….

Any good movies set in the 1950's-1960's?
I’m looking for really good movies that are set in the 50’s or 60’s but made in the 1990’s or 2000’s, like ‘Liberty Heights’ or ‘Remember the Titans’…I’ve been listening to alot of Motown and oldies, and I just want to watch a movie now! The more obscure, the better.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks…
