What the hell was the theme of the movie "Book of Eli"?
So I went out with my bf last friday to watch "Book of Eli". It was either that or "Legion" (Ironically both have something to do with religion lol). Anyway, I thought "Book of Eli" would be less "scary" so I went into the theater expecting something good.
Not saying that the movie was bad or anything but I left the theater wondering "What the hell was the point of the movie?" I have some ideas as to what the theme was but I’m not sure. Could you guys help me out? What was the writer of this movie trying to get across to the viewers?

It’s supposed to be about the end of Humanity, and Denzel Washington is trying to make it across America with this sacred book about saving the human race, and people are after him because it’s important and they want it or something, I THINK.lol I haven’t seen it yet…lol

What is the significance of rubbing blood on your cheeks in the movie Schindler's List?

when they did a complete physical, the women pricked each other, and rubbed blood on them… why did they do that?

I love that movie. Doesn’t it make you look healthier. I assumed those women were sick, and rubbing blood in their cheeks made them look healthier.

to look healthy… red cheeks instead of pale cheeks.

If you remember, the hebrew women were being selected for different tasks and the healthier women were assigned tasks. The unhealthier ones were executed. Also, the prettier ones were given better positions working as maids (in a less dangerous environment).

It was so their cheeks had a rosy appearance. The Jews had to show up for a sort of role call every morning and if you looked pale you were considered weak and they killed you. So they would rub blood on their cheeks to keep them from looking too pale thus extending their lives. Hope this helps.
